About cartel Cartel / raiding / epgp / recruitment
Cartel was formed on the 13th of February, 2008 by Scorpion. Cartel was officially started as a pvP guild, but due to the huge demand for pvE raids, we decided to give it a shot. The reason for forming Cartel was the idea of having a relaxed guild, without too much hassle, but still have very decent raid progress. Therefor, arrogance is not tolerated in any way. It's never too much to ask for just being polite to other players ingame. Same with the epic-horny disease, don't be. We're all here for the same reason, which is mainly progress along with fun.

We started the actual raiding 2 months after the reform. Our progress was to call significant. Within six weeks of formation, we already set foot in Mount-Hyjal, resulting in clearing the instance three weeks later. This got us the needed attention. However, when progressing in BlackTemple, we stumbled upon something called a summer. Even though our core group of 20 people was still active, we started lacking additional classes. Because of this we eventually decided to stop raiding for the time being. Some of us went seperate ways, but we always stayed in touch. A few months later, members demanded a "reform". This seemed quite difficult in the beginning, but after some weeks of planning and debating, we decided to go for it once again. We're now back, stronger than before. With a solid playerbase, we're now progressing smoothly through the new content. Raiding
Since our main goal is PvE progression, we raid five days a week. Friday and Saturday are offdays.

2300-2330: Raid end We're using Ventrilo 3.x during raids. EPGP
Our loot system is different than most other systems. The system we're using is called EPGP (EffortPoints/GearPoints).
We have been using this system for quite a long time, and are pretty satisfied with it.

Recruitment
We are always interested in new applicants. Even though we might not be looking for a specific class/spec, we'd be glad to hear from you if your interested in joining. Before joining, we'll have a conversation and such, since that tells a lot more than a simple application template. It should be clear that we're only looking for serious/active raiders. Having an attendance of at least 75% is required. If we are recruiting for a specific class, then that spot will not be a bench spot. Instead it will be an active raid spot. There's also a casual/friend rank in the guild.
